Archdiocese of Atlanta
Explore 118 Catholic parishes, updated schedules, and livestream options across the diocese.
The Archdiocese of Atlanta was established as a diocese in 1956, carved out of the Diocese of Savannah-Atlanta, and elevated to a metropolitan archdiocese in 1962. It covers 33 counties across northern Georgia, stretching from the Tennessee border down to the central part of the state. Its roughly 111 parishes are served from the Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta. The Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in downtown Atlanta, the oldest Catholic church in the city, predates the archdiocese by nearly a century.
