Archdiocese of Detroit
Explore 247 Catholic parishes, updated schedules, and livestream options across the diocese.
The Diocese of Detroit was established in 1833 by Pope Gregory XVI, covering southeast Michigan, and elevated to an archdiocese in 1937. Today it spans six counties β Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Lapeer, St. Clair, and Monroe β and includes approximately 240 parishes. The Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Detroit has served as its mother church since 1938, and the archdiocese traces its Catholic roots to Ste. Anne de Detroit, founded by French settlers in 1701.
