Explore 147 Catholic parishes, updated schedules, and livestream options across the diocese.
Originally erected as the Diocese of Vincennes in 1834, the Archdiocese of Indianapolis covers 39 counties across central and southern Indiana. Elevated to an archdiocese by Pope Pius XII in 1944, its cathedral — Saints Peter and Paul in downtown Indianapolis — has served as the seat since 1907. The archdiocese is home to the shrine of Saint Mother Theodore Guérin, canonized in 2006 and named co-patroness, located at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods near Terre Haute. Its 142 parishes serve a territory of over 13,700 square miles.
