Archdiocese of San Antonio
Explore 182 Catholic parishes, updated schedules, and livestream options across the diocese.
The Archdiocese of San Antonio was erected in 1874 from the Diocese of Galveston and elevated to an archdiocese in 1926. It covers south-central Texas, including Bexar County and surrounding counties, and serves around 180 parishes. San Fernando Cathedral, its seat, was founded in 1731 by Canary Islands settlers — making it the oldest continuously functioning religious community in Texas. The archdiocese also stewards four Spanish colonial missions that became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015.
