Armenian Catholic Eparchy of Our Lady of Nareg in Glendale

Established by Pope John Paul II in 1981 as an apostolic exarchate and elevated to an eparchy in 2005, this Eastern Catholic jurisdiction serves the Armenian diaspora across the United States and Canada using the Armenian liturgical rite. Its cathedral, St. Gregory the Illuminator, is in Glendale, California, home to one of the largest Armenian communities in North America. The eparchy takes its name from Our Lady of Nareg, honoring St. Gregory of Narek — a 10th-century Armenian mystic declared a Doctor of the Church in 2015 — and comprises 6 parishes.
