Chaldean Eparchy of Saint Peter the Apostle of San Diego
Explore 14 Catholic parishes, updated schedules, and livestream options across the diocese.
Established by Pope John Paul II on May 21, 2002, the Chaldean Eparchy of Saint Peter the Apostle of San Diego serves Chaldean and Assyrian Catholics across the 19 westernmost U.S. states, with its cathedral in El Cajon, California. It was split off from the Detroit-based Chaldean eparchy to serve the growing community of largely Iraqi-born Christians who trace their faith to ancient Mesopotamia. The eparchy follows the Chaldean Catholic rite β an Eastern Catholic liturgical tradition in communion with Rome β and operates 14 parishes, a seminary, and a monastery.
