Diocese of Beaumont
Explore 49 Catholic parishes, updated schedules, and livestream options across the diocese.
The Diocese of Beaumont was established in 1966 when the Diocese of Galveston-Houston was divided, making it the tenth Catholic diocese in Texas. It covers Southeast Texas — the Golden Triangle and surrounding counties stretching from the Louisiana border inland — with 49 parishes across roughly 7,000 square miles. St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica in Beaumont serves as the mother church. After the fall of Saigon in 1975, the diocese became a nationally recognized center for Vietnamese Catholic resettlement, a story later featured in Texas Monthly.
