Diocese of Bridgeport
Explore 90 Catholic parishes, updated schedules, and livestream options across the diocese.
Established in 1953 when Pope Pius XII carved it out of the Diocese of Hartford, the Diocese of Bridgeport covers all of Fairfield County in southwestern Connecticut — from Bridgeport and Stamford to Norwalk and Danbury. Its cathedral is St. Augustine Cathedral in Bridgeport, and the Basilica of St. John the Evangelist in Stamford holds the rare distinction of being a designated Minor Basilica. About 90 parishes serve one of the most densely Catholic corners of New England.
