Diocese of Brownsville
Explore 112 Catholic parishes, updated schedules, and livestream options across the diocese.
The Diocese of Brownsville was established in 1965, covering the four Rio Grande Valley counties of Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, and Willacy along the Texas-Mexico border. Its cathedral is the Immaculate Conception in Brownsville. The diocese is home to the Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle in San Juan — one of the most visited Catholic pilgrimage sites in the United States — and serves its 111 parishes across a region that has been overwhelmingly Catholic since Spanish mission times.
