Diocese of Burlington
Explore 100 Catholic parishes, updated schedules, and livestream options across the diocese.
The Diocese of Burlington was established in 1853, covering all of Vermont — the entire state forms a single diocese. Vermont's Catholic roots run surprisingly deep: the first Mass in what is now New England was celebrated in 1666 on Isle La Motte, now a pilgrimage site on Lake Champlain. Today around 100 parishes serve the faithful across the state, including communities shaped by waves of French-Canadian and Irish immigration in the nineteenth century.
