Explore 139 Catholic parishes, updated schedules, and livestream options across the diocese.
The Diocese of Madison was erected in 1945 from territory carved out of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and the dioceses of Green Bay and La Crosse. It covers 11 counties in south-central and southwestern Wisconsin, including Dane County, home to the state capital. With around 133 parishes, the diocese is notable for the Dominican missionary Fr. Samuel Mazzuchelli, who founded 11 parishes in the region in the mid-1800s and is a candidate for beatification.
