Diocese of New Ulm
Explore 72 Catholic parishes, updated schedules, and livestream options across the diocese.
Established by Pope Pius XII on November 18, 1957, the Diocese of New Ulm covers a 15-county stretch of southwestern Minnesota — territory shaped by the German Catholic immigrants who founded the city of New Ulm in 1854 and built their first parish, Holy Trinity, just three years later. Today the diocese is home to approximately 72 parishes, with the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity serving as its mother church, a Romanesque landmark whose current structure was blessed in 1893.
