Diocese of Saint Augustine
Explore 71 Catholic parishes, updated schedules, and livestream options across the diocese.
The Diocese of Saint Augustine, erected by Pope Pius IX on March 11, 1870, is the oldest Catholic diocese in the continental United States — its roots trace to September 8, 1565, when the first parish Mass on U.S. soil was celebrated here. Covering 17 counties across northeast Florida, it has since given rise to six additional Florida dioceses. Its cathedral, the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, sits at the heart of the oldest Christian congregation in the country, and the diocese serves 69 parishes.
