Diocese of Sioux Falls
Explore 127 Catholic parishes, updated schedules, and livestream options across the diocese.
The Diocese of Sioux Falls was established in 1889 by Pope Leo XIII, originally covering all of South Dakota; since 1902 it has encompassed the eastern half of the state, east of the Missouri River, with about 126 parishes. Its seat is the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Sioux Falls, dedicated in 1919 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The cathedral was designed by Emmanuel Masqueray, the same architect behind the Cathedral of Saint Paul in Minnesota.
