The Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Stamford was established in 1956 as an Apostolic Exarchate split from the Philadelphia Exarchate to serve post-WWII Ukrainian immigrants, then elevated to a full eparchy in 1958. It covers New York and all six New England states, with its cathedral at St. Volodymyr and Olha Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in Stamford, Connecticut. St. Basil College Seminary, founded 1939, has produced over 250 graduates including six bishops. Its 52 parishes follow the Byzantine Rite.
